Radiant golden sunlight kissing the land.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3660\" title=\"early spring flowers\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gaiasgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/gaiasorangeflowers2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gaiasgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/gaiasorangeflowers2.jpg 263w, https:\/\/www.gaiasgarden.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/gaiasorangeflowers2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 263px) 100vw, 263px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I enjoy watching the small slow changes ~ from winter to spring ~ the time when I first notice the slow lingering sunlight of the early year, the new grass and seasonal flowers and the first sweet laughter of spring in the air.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em><strong>Imbolc<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Pale winter sun lingers, lengthening each day<br \/>\nOn twig and branch new buds begin to swell<br \/>\nSongbirds give voice, each striving to excel<br \/>\nSeed senses change in its deep bed of cold clay<br \/>\nEarth goddess weaves her magic to propel<br \/>\nReborn cycle of her womb along its way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Life returns in every tree&#8217;s slow thought<br \/>\nIn pond and stream the dance begins again<br \/>\nSpring flowers show their purpose to proclaim<br \/>\nA new season comes; winters reign is short<br \/>\nAnd darkness no longer exercises any claim<br \/>\nGreen growth dispels grey moods it brought.<br \/>\n~ by Ian R.
