Ode to January
January brought foggy mornings, swirling mists, dark shadows
and cold bitter nights as we settled into winter.
The colder days and nights made us want to tuck ourselves away
inside our cozy homes and linger by the hearth…
To light candles, to gather friends and family close…
To share stories, laughter, good food and make warm memories. . .
Moment to moment, we watched the ever changing colors of the sky…
The shifting light and shadows…Dancing in slow motion
across the wintry landscape…
January…is Silence…Reflection…Deep stillness…stark
Beautiful…Monochromatic…Serene…
Enchanting…
