Healing Altar

This morning I noticed our Healing Altar needed a little tender loving care so I cleared off the tabletop, smudged the altar, washed the crystals with white sage water, and proceeded to wipe down the Kuan Yin statue with rose water.

Next, I added  fresh lavender to a pretty bag and placed the vogel crystal and Amethyst crystal on it, along with a small piece of Kyanite which helps clear the crystals after a session. The crystal singing bowl, Tibetan bowl and the painting hanging above the Altar were also cleaned.

Here is where I do most of my Distant Reiki work for our families, friends and anyone in need. I place Reiki Prayer Packets  in the pyramid and send Reiki twice a day for those who have requested it, and keep the names in the Reiki pyramid or Reiki Box for a period of two weeks to a month.

Giving Reiki to others is what I love to do. For me Reiki is about unconditional love, healing and acceptance on all levels, and a beautiful gift we can share with everyone.

Tools For Personal Healing

The Etheric Weaver

One of my favorite tools for personal healing is the Etheric Weaver. I purchased mine about nine years ago just after experiencing a full body Etheric Weaver treatment.

I have found the Etheric Weaver to be a wonderful addition to my Reiki practice and I use it often as part of my own personal healing regime .

However, I would like to also mention that you can do the same type of healing work with a pendulum or any other healing tool. The secret is to intend that your pendulum is a healing tool. It’s that simple!

Etheric Weavers are crystals ranging from 3.5″ to 7.5″ in length with two small magnets on either side, circled in copper wire with a chain attached to the top. The clear quartz crystals are wrapped in colored theatrical-light gel. Each color creates a specific frequency that resonates with the body and realigns the energy field in the etheric layer.

It’s very simple to use – simply hold it over anything or anyone, like a pendulum. For self healing you can suspend the Etheric Weaver about 3 to 6 inches above your left palm while holding the weaver with your right hand. Clear your mind and be very still. If the weaver starts to spin or move in any direction, hold it over that area until the movement stops.

The Etheric Weaver balances and aligns the whole meridian system, the chakras and heals blockages and rents in the etheric field.

Etheric weavers may also be used for personal healing, helping loved ones and friends, space clearings, pets, plants, long distance healing, meditation and awareness.

The Etheric Weavers are designed by H.H. Jetsun Gyalwa Jampa Gonpo and handcrafted by Western Buddhist monks and nuns.  Visit their website for more information.

Tree of Life

Oak Tree

The Tree of Life

One very important symbol in almost nearly every culture is The Tree of Life, with its branches reaching into the sky, and the roots deep in the earth, it dwells in the three worlds, a link between, heaven, the earth and the under world.

In the Celtic tradition, trees were considered to be the ancestors of mankind, a connection to the world of the ancestors and spirits. These living entities were doorways into other worlds.

For the Celts the most sacred tree of all was the Oak tree, representing the axis mundi, the center of the world. The upper world of the tree represented the realm of the gods and goddesses, the middle world the realm of the living, and the underworld the realm of the ancestors.

Trees are believed to carry messages and blessings to the other realms, so why not select a favorite tree and give offerings for healing, love, peace, and prosperity.

The offerings may consist of  hanging prayer flags,  small strips of rice paper or colorful ribbons with Reiki symbols or prayers written on them. You can then hang these on the tree branches and your prayers will be carried on the wind out to benefit your friends, family and the world.

We have a lovely old oak tree in our back yard  and it is sanctuary and home to many small creatures so we place small gifts and offerings for the animals that live and nest in it’s branches throughout the year. Offerings usually consists of bird food, slices of fruit, bread crumbs, and nuts for the squirrels.
